Archil Pichkhadze studied illustration at the School of Visual Arts in New York, receiving a BFA, and earned an MFA in Painting from Brooklyn College, studying under Lennart Anderson:
“Like many of [Anderson’s] former students I was profoundly influenced by his instruction. I have lived and painted in many apartments throughout Queens and Brooklyn. Followed by sunny years in San Jose, CA where I shared a studio shack with Black Widow spiders. Now I reside between New Paltz and Rosendale, working in a studio building which rumor has it used to be a candy store.”
