Anne Gabriele (b. 1961) is a Brooklyn-born artist who explores the natural world—from the garden to the ocean—using alternative and historic photographic processes. She studied photography at the School of Visual Arts in New York City and works as a photo stylist while maintaining a committed fine art practice.
“[The ‘Vessels’ series] explores the nature of light and shadow. The project began as a quiet observation of sunlight and the ever-shifting silhouettes it cast on the walls of my home. Through this work, I invite viewers to notice the beauty in the mundane and see the extraordinary in the interplay of light and shadow.”
