“This monotype is made with objects that had no more use in our household. Wrappers, packaging, tape - the useless ghosts of the things we actually "need." Ready to be discarded - out of sight, and yet - since they are plastic - they will remain in their form forever. These prints draw our attention to the eternal existence of our waste by both elevating the objects to a beautiful form and reminding us of what remains from our endless consumption. The soft layers evoke the accumulation of things that can simultaneously comfort and stifle us. “
