Allison Minks is a self-taught fiber artist currently based along the shores of Sandy Hook Bay, NJ. After decades of full-time work, she has returned to her creative roots with a renewed sense of purpose—crafting pieces that honor nature, sustainability, and the quiet beauty of organic materials. Her current work is a celebration of texture and earth tones, each piece crafted with natural fibers—fleece from sheep, wool, silk, linen, banana fiber, recycled saris, sisal, cotton and so much more—woven into forms that feel both timeless and tactile. Every piece is suspended from driftwood gathered along her local shoreline, grounding the work in the rhythms of the sea.

Allison’s creative journey has spanned encaustic painting, acrylics, collage, and shadow boxes filled with beach treasures. Today, her fiber art reflects a deep connection to the environment and a love for animals, the country, and ocean landscapes.
