A monoprint is one of a kind, a unique piece of artwork. Susanna’s process consists of applying ink or paint to a flat sheet of acrylic, then applying textural effects using tools known collectively as moveable collagraph, then laying down the paper (in this case, a beautiful 100% cotton French printmaking paper known as BFK* Rives) and applying pressure using a flat press, which lives a signature indentation around the artistic plane.

*BFK stands for Blanchet Frères et Kiebler and is the name of the French mill where this paper was originally produced in the 19th century.
