OBJECTS OF THE EVERYDAY’

EXHIBITION DATES: JANUARY 8 - MARCH 10, 2026

CALL FOR ENTRIES | WINTER 2026 GROUP SHOW

Deadline: 11/1/25 no later than 10pm Eastern Time

Fee: $25 (USD)

Pinkwater Gallery -@- Kingston Social in Kingston NY invites artists to reinterpret the most ordinary, everyday objects in fresh, creative ways. This exhibition explores how the items that surround us - often overlooked, taken for granted, or dismissed as mundane - can become sources of inspiration, wonder, and reflection when seen through an artistic lens.

Think of the intimacy of the mundane: the objects you touch daily that quietly shape your routines. Think of the poetry of the useful: tools and utensils that carry both function and hidden symbolism. Think of the beauty in what we overlook: a chair, a teacup, a pair of worn shoes, or the shadow of a lamp, transformed into subjects of meaning and imagination.

The art in our gallery lives within the mix at Kingston Social.

We encourage all approaches, whether abstract interpretations or figurative works. By gathering these perspectives, we aim to highlight the extraordinary within the ordinary and invite viewers to see their surroundings anew.

All 2D work is welcome—painting, drawing, collage, printmaking, photography, and mixed media—abstract or figurative, minimal or richly layered.
