The founder of Pinkwater Gallery, Anne Sanger is also an abstract artist and fashion illustrator. She graduated from the University of Cincinnati School of Design, Architecture, Art and Planning (DAAP) and pursued a career in the fashion industry before relocating to the little town of Hurley NY in the Catskill Mountains and opening the gallery in September 2019.

After rediscovering the joy of painting at the Woodstock School of Art in 2015, Anne transitioned from a corporate job to life as a full-time artist. She is currently exploring abstraction and other obsessions, playing with oil paints, acrylics, liquid acrylics, even gold leaf.
Anne is also active in promoting the women artists of the region, serves as Executive Director of Pinkwater Gallery, now located at Kingston Social, the new café | mercantile | gallery concept located at 237 Fair Street in uptown Kingston .
