A 3-hour workshop for tweens and teens introducing the elements of apparel design. We will learn the decisions that need to be made during the design process for every garment:

We will design 1-4 dresses during the workshop using a fashion croquis and fabric swatches.

Note, all classes are held in a shared art studio on the 3rd floor, accessible by stairs only.
ABOUT KRISTIN FLYNN
Kristin Flynn is a graduate of Parsons School of Design. Her fashion career began in NYC as a knitwear designer for Ellen Tracey and Liz Claiborne. A move to Portland, Oregon led her to a fantastic career as a head designer at Nike where she specialized in athletic apparel. Highlights of her career included designing the USA national team Olympic uniforms for track and field, and the Kenyan national team uniform. A return to New York and the Hudson Valley launched her teaching career. She taught fashion design for four years at Marist College before creating and running a fashion program at SUNY Ulster Community College.
